The North Dakota Community Planning Group for HIV and Viral Hepatitis Prevention, Care and Treatment (NDCPG) is holding is 2nd Annual HIV Awareness Walk on September 10th, 2019 in Fargo, N.D. at Island Park! 

More than 1.1 million people in the U.S. are living with HIV today, but 1 in 7 of them don't know it.  

 

2019 HIV Awareness Walk

Date: Tuesday, September 10th, 2019

Time: 6:00 P.M., Registration Starts at 5:00 P.M.

Location: Island Park in Fargo, N.D.

One goal of the NDCPG is to reduce stigma for those living with, affected by or at risk for HIV.  HIV stigma and discrimination affect the emotional well-being and mental health of people living with HIV.  To decrease stigma associated with HIV, the NDCPG is hosting this HIV Awareness Walk to increase awareness about HIV adn provide the facts about HIV.  This event also allows individuals to talk openly about HIV testing and treatment which is an opportunity to correct misconceptions and helps other learn more about HIV.  The walk will be about a one mile walk aroudn Island Park in downtown Fargo, N.D.
