National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC)
The NSVRC’s Mission is to provide leadership in preventing and responding to sexual violence through collaboration, sharing and creating resources, and promoting research. NSVRC has a special collection on rape prevention and education.

Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR)
The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) was founded in 1975 and is the oldest anti-rape coalition in the United States. PCAR works to eliminate all forms of sexual violence and advocates for the rights and needs of victims. PCAR has a statewide network of 51 rape crisis centers serving all 67 counties to provide services to survivors of sexual violence.

Prevent Connect
PreventConnect is a national project of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault. The goal of PreventConnect is to advance the primary prevention of sexual assault and relationship violence by building a community of practice among people who are engaged in such efforts. PreventConnect also builds the capacity of local, state, territorial, national and tribal agencies and organizations to develop, implement and evaluate effective prevention initiatives.

PreventConnect has online learning that includes introductory, intermediate and advanced courses for preventionists.

PreventConnect has a short presentation, Changing Norms to Prevent Violence Against Women, which introduces the key role of changing social norms to develop effective primary prevention efforts. It was adapted from the Prevention Connection Web Conference “Toward a Community Solution: Advancing Primary Prevention of Violence Against Women” held on November 30, 2006.

Prevent IPV: Tools for Social Change
The IPV Prevention Council was formed in 2011 as a voluntary association of domestic violence coalitions working in partnership with allied national organizations. The Council is committed to enhancing the capacity of state/territory domestic violence coalitions and community-based domestic violence programs to advance a comprehensive national prevention agenda and broaden support for its full implementation at the national, state, territory and local levels.

Prevention Institute
The Prevention Institute was founded in 1997 to serve as a focal point for primary prevention practice - promoting policies, organizational practices, and collaborative efforts that improve health and quality of life. Prevention Institute synthesizes research and practice; develops prevention tools and frameworks; helps design and guide interdisciplinary partnerships; and conducts training and strategic consultation with government, foundations, and community-based organizations nationwide and internationally.

Their Physician’s Guide to Intimate Partner Violence and Abuse has a chapter that covers primary prevention of intimate partner violence and abuse and ties together the social norms and the prevention spectrum.

The Prevention Institute has a presentation resource on the Sexualization/Exploitation of Children from the 2010 National Sexual Assault Conference called Transforming Communities to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation taking a primary prevention approach.

VAWnet.org
The National Online Resource Center on Violence Against Women supports local, state, and national prevention and intervention strategies that enhance safety and well-being and address the self-identified needs and concerns of victims and survivors. It has a special collection on Domestic Violence Prevention and Sexual Violence Prevention.
