Take notice that the North Dakota Department of Health proposes to issue Air Pollution
Control Permits to Operate to Northstar Materials dba Knife River Materials in accordance
with the North Dakota Air Pollution Control Rules. The proposed permits establish production
limits for three portable Hot-Mix Asphalt facilities.
A 30-day public comment period for the proposed permits will begin April 15, 2015 and
end on May 15, 2015.

Federal regulations require that North Dakota draft and submit to EPA an annual
monitoring network plan which "shall provide for the establishment and maintenance
of an air quality surveillance system". Prior to submittal, the plan should be made
available for public review for at least 30 days. Please find below the draft 2014
monitoring network plan.
The 30-day comment period will begin March 30, 2015 and
end on April 30, 2015.
Draft Monitoring Network Plan
North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) is pleased
to release the annual State Clean Diesel Grant Program application and
guidelines. The North Dakota Department of Health, through the US
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will award approximately $76,000
in grants to be used for the purchase of new diesel powered vehicles,
equipment and school buses throughout the state of North Dakota. The grant
allocates funds to reduce diesel emissions under the Diesel Emissions
Reduction Act (DERA) of the Energy Policy Act of 2010.
