The North Dakota Ground Water Protection Program focuses its efforts on preventing contamination of ground water through programs designed to control potential sources of contamination. We also work towards restoration of ground water that has been polluted. Ground water is an extremely important resource in North Dakota. A large portion of the rural population and many municipalities rely entirely on ground water as a drinking water source.  This makes the effort to prevent ground water contamination all the more important.

The Ground Water Protection Program is ready and willing to assist you with any and all concerns you might have with ground water. To investigate specific programs, we invite you to move to these programs by clicking on the appropriate menu item on the left side of this page. We hope the information provided here is useful, and we welcome any suggestions and/or requests you might have. If you have any specific questions or comments please send them to me using the email link shown above. Thanks for visiting.
