Petroleum Products Testing The Underground Storage Tank Program performs a function of random petroleum product sampling to ensure specific fuel quality characteristics. Petroleum products testing will evaluate fuel samples for octane, alcohol percentage and other factors as indicators of quality. This involves random sampling of petroleum products from retail facilities across the state to ensure that North Dakota's citizens are being sold the petroleum products as advertised.
