Solid Waste Program

The Solid Waste Program (SWP) works with owners and operators of land disposal facilities to ensure that all regulated solid waste activities in North Dakota are conducted in compliance with North Dakota's Solid Waste Management Rules. The SWP requires that all land disposal activities are protective of public health and preserve water resources while promoting resource recovery.

The program also conducts operator training and certification for landfill staff for day-to-day operations of land disposal facilities.
