The Optimal Pregnancy Outcome Program (OPOP) is a primary prevention program designed to empower pregnant women to make informed, healthy lifestyle choices to ensure that they give birth to healthy babies. OPOP is available to ALL pregnant women FREE of charge. If you are enrolled in this program, you would be scheduled for monthly visits throughout your pregnancy as well as an additional two visits after you give birth. During each visit, you will have the opportunity to share with and learn from a nurse, nutritionist and a social worker. This program is not designed to replace routine (medical) prenatal care. Early, regular prenatal care by a qualified health care provider is the best gift you can give your baby so that he or she has a healthy start in life. If you need assistance in obtaining early prenatal care, your OPOP team can assist you in choosing a provider that best suits your needs.
