Prevention in North Dakota

Rape Prevention and Education Grant

The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) receives the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The funding is used to support the following activities:

  • Implementing Green Dot in four communities ,
  • Raising Community Readiness and increasing primary prevention capacity,
  • Engaging partners to leverage prevention resources,
  • Developing plans, evaluating efforts, and tracking indicators as part of a data-driven decision-making process
CAWS ND
CAWS North Dakota (ND) and the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS) work closely together to support domestic violence/rape crisis centers’ primary prevention efforts. CAWS ND and the NDHHS co-facilitate quarterly Primary Prevention Partner meetings, share resources, provide technical assistance to increase primary prevention capacity.

CAWS ND and NDHHS partnered to create the Prevention is Possible campaign that focuses on steps anyone can take to prevent sexual and domestic violence.
