What is North Dakota Family Planning all about?
Family planning helps you decide the number of children you want and when you want to have them. It is a decision for you and your partner to make together.
North Dakota currently provides family planning services in 23 locations across the state. The goal of our family planning clinics is to provide education and services to better equip you to make decisions that could affect you, your partner and your family for the rest of your life. Clients are charged for services according to their household income and family size. Private pay, insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and donations are accepted. Inability to pay is never a barrier to you receiving the services you want or need.
Almost everyone needs family planning services at some time in their lives to achieve or postpone pregnancy or to simply address personal health needs. Today there are thousands of men and women eligible for no or low cost family planning services in North Dakota. Currently our federally funded family program has only served 37 percent of the women in need of family planning services.
