Emergency Preparedness and Response Section

Mission Statement

The Emergency Preparedness and Response Section of the North Dakota Department of Health is dedicated to creating and promoting a state of readiness and prompt response to protect the health of North Dakotans during catastrophic events, large scale disasters and emergencies. We accomplish our mission by coordinating education, assessment, planning, response and support services involving public health providers, private medical providers, public safety agencies and government officials.

Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Division

The Division of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma (DEMST) serves as North Dakota's lead emergency medical services (EMS) agency.
