The North Dakota Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (ND CCCP) is sponsoring a FREE Motivational Interviewing Training at two sites in May. Travel reimbursement will be provided. Participants are also eligible to receive 11 ANCC Contact hours for FREE. Spots are limited at each location to 20 so please be mindful of the suggested list of roles in which a person serves that may benefit from this type of training.

The training is ideal for people that use motivational interviewing in their professional capacity such as those working with populations that need to adopt a health change, patient navigation, follow through with health care screening or procedures, for example, those eligible for cancer/chronic disease screening, tobacco cessation, overweight, risky lifestyle behaviors, etc. This training will include hands-on learning to practice motivational interviewing tactics.

Travel reimbursement is available to those that request it on their registration form. You will receive a separate travel request form via email to indicate your reimbursement needs. A block of rooms is available at state-rate for those requesting reimbursement at each hotel, depending on the site you plan to attend. Participants are responsible for arranging their travel and reserving your room under the “Motivational Interviewing Training” block of rooms. All participants will be reimbursed state-rate per-diem for lunch on the full day of training regardless of other travel.
