The North Dakota Ground Water Protection Program focuses its efforts on preventing
contamination of groundwater through programs designed to control potential sources of
contamination. We also work towards restoration of groundwater that has been
polluted. Groundwater is an extremely important resource in North Dakota.
A large portion of the
rural population and many municipalities rely entirely on groundwater as
a drinking water source. This makes the effort to prevent groundwater contamination all the more important.
The Ground Water Protection Program is ready and willing to assist you with any and all concerns you might have with groundwater. To investigate specific programs, we invite you to move to these programs by clicking on the appropriate menu item on the left side of this page.
