Overview of Application Process

Applications are available at any Job Service North Dakota office or call 1-800-247-0981 (instate) or (701) 328-5000 or you can download an application form and print it out on your printer. Applications are accepted only when a specific position has been announced. Applications must be postmarked by the closing date or submitted to a Job Service North Dakota Office by 4:30 PM on the closing date. Applications will not be accepted after the closing date. Applications must be filed on a State of North Dakota Application for Employment Form.

Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of the state application form. If a resume is submitted, an application will be mailed to you. Applicants will be considered for the position if the completed application is returned by the deadline date. Applicants are encouraged to include a resume with your completed application, but do not use "see resume" to omit information from the application.

Applications are reviewed to determine which applicants have met the minimum qualifications. Then candidates to be interviewed by the hiring manager are selected. After the interview process is complete, applicants are notified of selection or non-selection.
