Modular Emergency Response Radiological Transportation Training (MERRTT) The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDH) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) present DOE’s Modular Emergency Response Radiological Transportation Training (MERRTT) train-the-trainer program. This modular training program informs students how to respond to transportation accidents involving radioactive materials. The course is aimed at: training and safety officers, first responders, law enforcement personnel, fire departments, emergency medical personnel, hazmat teams, emergency managers, public health officials, emergency room personnel and other companies, agencies or individuals who may volunteer to respond during radiological transportation incidents.
