The North Dakota Department of Health, through the US Environmental Protection Agency, will award $159,862 in grants to the following schools for the replacement of old diesel powered school buses with new cleaner diesel powered school buses. The Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) of the Energy Policy Act of 2010 allocates funds to states to implement projects that reduce diesel emissions. These replacements are being conducted utilizing North Dakota's FY2012 DERA funding.

EPA Hearing Scheduled - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has scheduled a public hearing regarding issues related to their reconsideration of the NOx BART determination for M. R. Young Station Units 1 & 2 and Leland Olds Unit 2. The hearing will be held on May 15, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Department's Environmental Training Center. The Training Center is located at 2639 East Main Avenue in Bismarck.
